Nick Mathewson bd28322d38 Remove variables; fix gcc 4.7 warnings 
My GCC warns when variables are assigned to but never used.  There
were a few like that in the 6816/6465 branches.

Tor protects your privacy on the internet by hiding the connection
between your Internet address and the services you use. We believe Tor
is reasonably secure, but please ensure you read the instructions and
configure it properly.

To build Tor from source:
        ./configure && make && make install
