  1. showcase how to create a 220gb hidden volume (as the total whonix VMs are 200gb)

  2. put the whonix VMs in there

  3. showcase the emergency shutdown script (must not need to be ran as root) as showcased + adapted in https://blog.nowhere.moe/opsec/physicalsecurity/index.html

  4. create a cinnamon shortcut to run that script (needs to be runable as the user, not root)

  5. separate the tutorial into another: "How to anonymously access websites that block Tor >> Tor -> VPN -> Website tutorial"

to be explained:

  • what usecase for sensitive VMs: when you want to carry out anonymous activities that are likely to attract adversaries on you
  • hence the need: the adversary shouldn't be able to find anything incriminating against you, when you give him your computer.
  • WARNING, deniability context: this works only if you are not persecuted for using the technology itself (in this case, veracrypt)
  • proceed only if you are not likely to be procecuted for just using the technology.

to be showcased:

  • showcase how to create a 220gb hidden volume (as the total whonix VMs are 200gb)
  • showcase how to put the whonix VMs in there (copy them into the hidden volume)
  • showcase what to put into the veracrypt volume (large files like ISOs or movies ?)
  • showcase the emergency shutdown script (that must not need to be ran as root) as showcased + adapted in https://blog.nowhere.moe/opsec/physicalsecurity/index.html
  • create a cinnamon shortcut to run that script (needs to be runable as the user, not root)
  • separate the tutorial into another: "How to anonymously access websites that block Tor >> Tor -> VPN -> Website tutorial"
